Arches

Hodkin and Jones plaster arches are designed to be used with our range of pilasters, corbels and columns. Our largest plaster arch has a span of almost four metres and is ideal for wide entrance halls or to emphasise a specific area of the room. The smallest plaster arch within the range, with a span of just under one metre, can be used in place of - or above - any doorway, or as part of a series of plaster arches within a corridor.

All of our arches are made to order and are designed for a square opening, therefore if your application has an existing curve the arch will not be suitable. All arches come with an arch former, architrave and keystone. The architrave are available in two sizes - 75mm and 136mm, along with two size keystones to suit.

Typical Room Settings

Arches are generally installed into openings which fall into one of the 3 typical room settings. Choose which condition fulfils your requirements and note the relevant measurement details. Remember you can decide whether to use pilasters or corbels, but please make careful reference to the dimensions before ordering. Please note: Arches are ordered by quoting the size of the final walk-through width (W) achieved after the arch is fitted. For example, if your gap from wall to wall (dimension ‘A’ on diagrams) measures 6’, you would need to order the 1524mm (5’) arch.
